A New Year, a New Me!

Well, I haven’t written for a while because I was taking the Holidays off as it were. I was trying to be good, but not really being stringent. I guess it was a halfway effort at best. I found myself falling back into some bad habits, which may sound bad, but for me it’s encouraging. It’s encouraging because it makes me realize I must always be vigilant in order to overcome this food addiction of mine.
I’ve been working on how to present my food diary here on the site as well as a weekly weigh in and measurements page, so that I can be as accountable as possible. So far I still haven’t seen a plugin or other program to allow me to do it effectively, but I am still looking.
The diet starts Monday January 4th. My first goal is to lose 100 pounds by my birthday May 3. I know it’s aggressive, but for me, it’s very doable. I will be weighing in on Monday or Tuesday, depending on my schedule and how busy the weight loss center is. My wife will be joining me, so we are going to be cleaning out the cupboards as it were, and stocking them with healthier foods.
We will be focusing on more fruits and vegetables and healthier portion sizes. For breakfast we will be having protein fruit shakes. The meal plan will focus on 6-7 small meals and snacks a day. The great thing s about that is you don’t usually have time to get hungry.
